Built by Fairfield Company Limited in Glasgow in 1899, the Stuttgart was launched on June 26th,1889. Her maiden voyage was on January 10th, 1890 from Montevideo to Buenos Aires. The first Bremen to the United States sailing was on August 28th, 1890. Her last North Atlantic voyage commenced started December 3rd, 1899 making 35 round trip voyages. Beginning in the middle of 1900, she began making trips from Bremen to the Far East and from Bremen to Australia, and Bremen to South America. The Stuttgart was scrapped in 1908.
